We went back to farm to collect sample for the aerobic digestion process from the actual digester and shut down the pilot plant. During the shutdown of the plant, we started it by switching off the heating element and allow the water to circulate in the heat exchanger for cooling. Power supply and water supply were turned off at the end.
On the same day, the technicians from Ensure Engineering came down to the farm as well to transport the methane capture system and took back the compressed air tank as well.
Like the previous testing for anaerobic digestion, the testing for aerobic process also showed that the digestion had some problems with it as the results do not seem to follow the trend.
Our results are shown below:
Sludge weight: 39.9863g
pH: 10.77
Volatile Acids: 1mg/L
Dissolved Oxygen: 3.01ppm
COD: 216mg/L
Nitrogen: 23mg/L
Phosphorous: 0.3mg/L
Potassium: Arrival of reagents will be postponed to third week of October
